I started CrossFit in 2011 and immediately fell in love with the challenge of the workouts and the community at the gym. I love coaching new athletes on proper form and technique, as well as, helping athletes learn new movements that they never thought they would be able to do.

I really enjoy helping people grow as athletes. There is something really great about seeing people perform a movement or lift a weight they never thought they would be able to do. It also inspires me to work on being a better athlete.

I love being able to help people return to a level of fitness they used to have or getting new movements/skills they were scared of or never thought they’d be able to do. Getting people excited to lift and exercise or change their connotation of exercise or working out into something positive is a passion of mine.
I love helping people feel fitter and stronger. Helping decrease the risk of injury and returning back to full health past injury.

My favorite moment is when an athlete realizes how strong or capable they are, most are truly surprised at their own ability.

CrossFit is something I stumbled across while walking on a treadmill, lost in my fitness and not knowing what to do. After my 2nd child, my body didn’t bounce back like I thought and I was the heaviest I have ever been. I saw a girl attempting her first strict pull up in the area across from me and I was like, heck yes!
I love the challenge CrossFit give me and others and enjoy watching our members grow. I love making sure people hit a Personal Record, but also making sure they are doing it safely.
The community is the biggest thing I enjoy about this sport. Being surrounded by people who let their stress out for an hour followed by sweaty fist bumps is the best!

I love coaching because it is a component of self improvement and growth. Not only for those being coached, but for the coach as well. I love to help others, especially when it pertains to reaching goals or even setting them. Health is important physically and mentally, as it is a catalyst in all aspects of our lives.

The sport of CrossFit has provided so much in my life, from friendship, to achievement and health. The ability to help others reap those rewards while helping them on their journey with the sport is the reason why I love to coach. I am inspired everyday by my fellow athletes, from beginners to Games Competitors, everyone’s journey in this port motivates me and the people around them.

Hobbies: I am a Lacrosse Coach, played in college and coached at the college and high school levels. I work in Youth Ministry. I love to fly fish and am training for the Tactical Games which is a combination of CrossFit and Tactical Marksmanship
My main jobs in this world are being a Girl Dad to my daughter Ellie (aka The Duchess) and husband to my wife Molly. Faith and Gratitude sit at the core of my being and I truly am humbled by the blessing that is this life.
During the day I am the Vice President of Data and Identity Sales at Acxiom. I serve as a Board Advisor for Start Up Companies and am an Angel Investor in the MarTech Space and an Enterprise Identity Consultant for Global Retailers and CPG Companies.
